the Hastil fountain pen designed by Marco Zanuso and found in MOMA's
permanent collection, has interesting features: a spring loaded clip
that fits flush with the cap, and insets at the end of the barrel that
keep the cap from ever touching the barrel when it's posted. the pen is
a cartridge converter and the nib is a white 14 kt gold nib.

This ultra-flat ball point represents a profound innovation in the
approach of designing writing instruments. It takes pen design to the
extreme that these works of art have been placed on display at the New
York Museum of Modern Art.
