The Twentieth Century was dominated by the concept of design which revolutionized the form, color, and choice of materials of everyday objects.  Giuliano does not believe that design exists today.

These days, we simply find the same objects with a new function.  You only have to find which of these objects can be adapted to our times, lengthening or shortening, rounding or squaring, for the office or for the home.  Only then will you discover that you redesigned the object, as it happened when they executed the idea of the Bowling pen.
