
Ninety years after, Nettuno is back on the market. It signed the first
Italian fountain pen—a safety pen in ebonite by their founder
Umberto Vecchietti—in Bologna in 1911.
The name Nettuno was borrowed by Umberto Vecchietti from the statue
of Giambologna overlooking a square in the historical center of
Bologna. That, for the enthusiasts, became a synonym of historic
