The design team at Sheaffer was given a challenge:  make a range of finishes that would embellish the classic lines of the Sheaffer Legacy 2 collection and at the same time bring a sparkle to the modern world of flat colors and monotone décor.  The result was the King’s Gold and Emperor's Silver finishes.

The Sheaffer Legacy collection features:  Sheaffer exclusive inlaid nib, crafted of 18kt gold, for a lifetime of smooth, responsive writing; the exclusive Touchdown refill mechanism for quick, clean refilling from an ink bottle in two simple strokes; a live action clip with built-in spring for an adjustable, secure fit; and distinctive clip, band, and trim.
