WATERFORD LISMORE COLLECTION.
The Original Lismore pattern was inspired by the classic simplicity of
the castle’s architecture. Tall upright wedge cuts on a band of open
diamonds represents the turrets and battlements of the castle. The
Lismore design of crystal is one of Waterford’s most universally popular
ranges and has proven to be its most collectable.
The Lismore range of writing Instruments has ten microns of platinum plated
onto solid brass. The 18kt gold Waterford fountain pen nib is
manufactured by a multi-stage process and is hand built to exacting
tolerances. The tip of the Waterford nib is made from iridium, a metal
more valuable than platinum. The deep diamond-cut patterns that
characterize Waterford Crystal have been reinterpreted in precious
metals and diamond-cut onto the pen’s surfaces. The unique star pattern
that appears on the base of every piece of Waterford crystal as a
signature of the Waterford brand is hand cut onto the cap head of each
writing instrument. The Waterford clip is a composite of spring steel
and a forged metal ingot. A wedge cut by a diamond tool on each clip
strongly identifies the Waterford brand.
The
Lismore Collection includes a fountain pen, roller ball pen, ball point
pen, and a 0.7mm pencil. The fountain pen fill by cartridge or bottle
with a converter.
