Retro51 Eiffel Tower Rollerball. We want to talk about one of our favorite pens ever. The Paris Skyline edition of the Retro51 Tornado series named the Eiffel Tower rollerball. The detail makes this pen an impressive one, and because of this Retro also, never cease to surprise us with their creative designs. Similarly, some of their pens resemble works of functional art than pens. Above all, the level of detail that they put into their pens is astounding, and this one feels like they went overboard in detail and design.

The design of the barrel shows off some Paris landmarks. The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, L’Arc de Triumph, and Notre Dame Cathedral, Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur to name a few.
The detail on the pen is astounding- there’s a sailboat going under the bridge, a skyline of the city underneath the arc of the Eiffel Tower and a speckling of stars above them all. The coloring comes in various shades of purple, meant to replicate viewing the city under a starry night.
Retro51 also accentuates the night sky effect of the rollerball, All of the monuments, the streetlights, and the stars appear to glow in the darkness. The engraving is so detailed that it gives the appearance of lighting up all the scene.
The top cap of this pen features a French Bulldog…in a beret! Retro always knocks it out of the park with their top cap designs, and this one is no exception.
