This distinctive new Pelikan M605 Green White fine pen series will convince anybody. These colors are a joy to look at! The white parts come made of high-quality resin that is, first turned and then polished to a high sheen. The barrel with the white and green stripes stamped over cellulose acetate. Pelikan’s high-quality standards manufactured the resin and turned it into a sleeve.

The characteristic double rings at the back of the barrel and on the cap come integrated into the material. Pelikan makes this integration with the highest precision to obtain a seamless transition between the materials. The fountain pen has an entirely rhodium-plated 14-carat gold nib and will be available in 4 nib widths EF, F, M, and B.

The matching ballpoint pen has a twist mechanism. Every writing instrument is mounted by hand and carefully checked to fulfill the strictest quality criteria. The Souverän® 605 Green-White comes encased in a specially designed gift box.

Pelikan M605 Green White

Firstly, We thought it might be a valuable exercise to look at Pelikan’s new M605 Green-White fountain pen. When news of this model broke in early June, we had two concerns. The first was that the actual product would not look like shown in the pre-release photographs. There certainly is precedent, as we have seen with various models over the last several years.

Secondly Our worry was that the green striped barrel would not distinguish itself enough from the standard Green/Black model to be impactful. With the pen in hand, it quickly became apparent that our concerns were unfounded. The newest M605 continues Pelikan’s trend of marrying colorful M6xx barrels with white resin, which started in earnest circa 2015 with the M600 Pink and others.

We were curious to see just how well the green striped barrel would marry with the white resin, given what we’ve seen with the company’s other pastel-colored releases. After a careful evaluation, the conclusion es extremely positive. This pen deserves a spot in our collection.
