The polymer lead, suitable for use in any Caran d’Ache mechanical pencils is also acceptable in any other mechanical pencil that uses a 0.7mm lead. This high quality leads 60 mm. in length. A grading scale ranks the pencil leads hardness in HB or B grades; H stands for the lead’s hardness, B denotes its blackness. Consequently, B grades the pencil lead as softer than the HB lead. They come in a pack of 12 leads.
